They’re out of the door!

It’s been a crazy summer so far that includes work, travelling, and A LOT of wedding projects. We managed to getaway from LA life and visited Hawaii for some R&R and wedding meetings. The visit was successful and included many Wal-Mart trips, family gatherings, and fun in the sun activities. Right after our return, it was back to work!

Invitation work, that is. I started with our inner envelope liner. Lots of marking, cutting, and gluing. After some revisions, I gave my stamp of approval on the invitation and inserts. They quickly went to production and were printed in a two-day period. I had to punch each invite to get the scalloped edge effect. Thankfully, I only had 90 to do. Then more handwork: handwritten inner envelope, stuffing the inserts, putting on postal stamps and sealing them. It was a big relief when everything was done and ready to be dropped off at the post office. Whew!

Dress fitting 2

My bridesmaids had their second dress fitting today and it went well. Samantha, our stylist, was helpful as always. She was amazing, accomodating and patient! She made sure that the girls picked out the perfect dress that suit their personality and style. Thanks Sam!

All girls showed up, minus my mom this time. They had fun going through the rack and trying on more than half of the designs. After over two hours, they all had to come up with a decision. And I got to sit pretty, watched and gave them my opinion. : )

Everything has started to all come together. Appointments were made to meet with vendors in July. Pretty soon my dress will be ready and it’ll be my turn for dress fitting. Looking forward to it!

Picking out the invites

Memorial Day weekend is coming up – that means more time playing and planning. We are scheduled to pick out our invitation suite design. I’m looking forward to it and hoping that it would be an easy process. I’ll post some photos as we go… stay tuned!

My life has been taken over by Animal Crossing: City Folk. I seriously am addicted to this game that I’ve forgotten all about wedding-related stuff. I even forgot that we had to meet our priest on a Thursday evening to turn in paperworks. Oh well… we rescheduled and will eventually meet him sometime this month.

I had a chance to book our trip tonight. We gotta visit before October to meet with vendors, see the church, etc. Yay! I’m excited and getting nervous as the date comes closer. Still have a lot of stuff to take care of. Time to delegate responsibilities to my maid of honor and bridesmaids!

3rd one’s a charm…

So yeah, I just had to order a 3rd pair of shoes! The 2nd pair was great… until the 3rd one arrived! I love the texture of it and the cutouts. One small problem, though: it’s a little too big. Once I take a step and walk with it, it comes off my heels. But I love them, so I might end up keeping both pairs.

Finally – six months before my big day, I think I found my shoes!! Excited about it, and hope it works out. That said, I need to break it in and actually wear it to make sure it’s comfortable and good to wear for the big day.

I made an appointment with Father Preston to turn in our required paperworks. And darn it; Dom & I forgot to show up. I feel bad… Hope he forgives us!

Nothing much is going on lately in my wedding world. Just came back from San Diego for some much needed R&R, tried to look for shoes. Still no luck! I said I’m getting tired looking, but the search must go on… Thank goodness I have time! Happy Easter for now!

Still Sole Searching

So I decided to order a pair of wedding shoes that I thought were really cute and girly. It arrived today at work – yay! Our mailroom guy informed me that there’s a box that came in for me, I was so excited come lunch time to try them on. And eh! :s It was a cute pair… but I tried to walk with them, and it slipped off my heels as I walk. So I don’t know… I might have to return them. I sat by my desk, wearing them… it was alright sitting down, but definitely not for walking and dancing. *sigh*

We finally had our session with Sister Elizabeth on Tuesday. Happy to announce that Dom and I are compatible! : ) So the wedding is still on! On a serious note, she thinks our financial and parenting scores were low. But we honestly didn’t discuss those stuff before FOCCUS nor Pre Cana that’s why we scored low on those areas.

Glad that our two requirements are both done — we’re ready to get married in a Catholic church!

Looking for the perfect stride

I’ve been busy with a bunch of wedding-related

stuff, such as looking for ideas for flowers, reception details, and honeymoon locations. I still have tons of things to do and worry about! One of the most important thing at the moment: SHOES.

I’m excited to pick a pair and try them on with my dress — which I’ll be picking up soon! I found some really cute pairs online but it’s still a bit early to decide on something, since I’m constantly changing my mind. Here is a cute one that seems to be ideal. I personally don’t like slingbacks though – since I’ll most likely be wearing them throughout the day that I don’t like the straps to come off as I take a step. But isn’t this so cute and girly?!?
